First opened in 1922, the Gogebic Country Club course is a par 71 course that plays to 6,030 yards. It is open to the public, and the tree-lined fairways are bordered by a stand cut of rough. The longest hole on the course is #18, a 533 yard par-5, while the shortest hole is #15, a 142 yard par-3. After an invigorating round of golf, stop in to our beautiful clubhouse for some refreshement, where you can look out over the course from the bar area and watch those still on the course work their way home to #18. Since 1968, when the Ironwood community roared to life with the first-ever oval snowmobile race at the Gogebic County Fairgrounds, snowmobile racing has become an established sport in the Western U.P. In 2015, Ironwood hosted the TLR Cup series, where the world's best ice oval racers met at the fast and historic 1/2 mile track in Ironwood.
