Keweenaw owns and manages 167,800 surface acres in the U.P., 1,700 in northern WI, and 401,801 acres of both severed and attached mineral rights.  Keweenaw Land Association traces its origin to the period immediately following the Civil War (1865), with the modern structure of the company established in 1908.  Practicing sustainable forestry since the late 1960’s, our environmental and sustainable forestry practices have been third party audited and certified since 1994.
