While not officially Jack Frost Festival time, the snow cascading down outside this morning sure lets us know that the fabled Yooper Winter is fast approaching. Looks like there will be more than just “frost on the pumpkin” this year–a white blanket is more likely. For those Chamber friends who check in at our events page, you will see there that for the first time in many years, most of the traditional Jack Frost Festival events are either not happening or are extremely uncertain in their possibility of being run. This is even now starting to include our Jack Frost Festival Parade. Advancing Covid-19 numbers in our community mean that the larger issue of public health and safety is coming to the fore.
