With one of the longest nordic ski seasons around and miles of trails, Ironwood is a destination for cross country skiers.
For a great Nordic Ski experience visit Wolverine Nordic Trails located between Ironwood and Bessemer. Take Section 12 Road north off of Highway US2, then east on Sunset Road until you see the sign. Built around a ski jumping hill, Wolverine boasts great inclines and varying trails for all levels of skiers. Also included are trails for snowshoeing and hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
