It’s Not Easy Being Green

Well, it has been a while since I have gone a-blogging, but the strange “no winter” of 2023-2024 U.P. here has not inspired the muse of prose.  However, this morning as I entered the Depot, I stopped to take a snapshot of some green plants starting to make their way up from the earth to catch the sunlight at the Depot’s west end garden. & they looked green!  The sun is shining here this morning as well, albeit not very continuously.  Still–it tells us that the travel and visitor season will soon commence.  The Chamber brochure racks are slowly getting outfitted with new 2024 items, and spring cleaning & sorting office cubicle work has picked up the pace so as to handle new incoming materials and find storage for them.  Perhaps you, dear reader, are finding the “spring cleaning bug” as well!  If so, remember that this annual right of renewal does has its positive virtues (beyond finding stuff you had misplaced):  it heralds a new season of warmth, activity, and brightness!   As you travel the roads to Ironwood this season ahead, make sure you stop in here to the Historic Ironwood Depot Chamber of Commerce office and say “hi.”  Be glad to see you!
