October 5, 2025 marked Plaidurday in Ironwood. 952 humans and 6+ dogs gathered downtown at the Aurora/Lowell Street intersection for the annual drone photograph, showing that Plaidurday has woven itself into the fabric that is the Ironwood Community. Sponsored by Stormy Kromer and the Downtown Development Authority, Plaidurday is held in concert with 1st Friday, which meant that the Ironwood Farmer’s market was in place at City Square and live music from the big stage was there as well. However, at 80 degrees (!), this year’s Plaidurday had a warmth that is seldom felt at the beginning of October, but the bright sun and falling leaves helped contribute to create a true Fall ambiance. Each year, Ironwood Plaidurday gets bigger, and folks who missed the picture this year are already circling the calendar for Plaidurday 2026 (October 2).
