The Erwin Township Historical Society “Preserves the Past and Creates the Future” in Erwin Township.  The Historical Society Museum and Pakonen Research Center features hundreds of artifacts and pictures.  It is located at 8970 Van Buskirk Road in Ironwood, Michigan.  The museum is open Saturdays from 1-4PM and by appointment.  The Museum anchors Erwin Heritage Park, which features a paved, ADA compliant, walking trail, called the Ahti Nurmela Trail.  The park is open sunrise to sunset.  In the winter the trail is connected to ABR cross country ski trails and is groomed by ABR.  Come and visit!  Like and follow us on Facebook!  [We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.]
