Stretching back many eventful years in Gogebic County history, the annual Gogebic County Fair remains a central marking-stone in the cultural life of the U.P.   Each year the Fair brings the award hopes and dreams of 4-H’ers that their carefully raised animal will win the coveted Blue Ribbon!  But beyond the moos and quacks of the animal building, the Fair boasts a wide variety of entire-family entertainment and interest displays:  musical performances, harness racing, a traditional collection of rides and games, various open-entry contests, and exhibits of all kinds.   Come spend a day (or several!) at the fair.  Go to their website and get the full schedule!  Follow the Fair and see the hourly schedule here:  https://www.facebook.com/GogebicCountyFair    The Gogebic County Fairgrounds are very conveniently located on U.S. 2 at the western edge of Ironwood:  watch for the big signs!
