WUPPDR is a federally and state-designated regional planning and development agency serving jurisdictions throughout Baraga, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties in the Western U.P. WUPPDR’s mission is to foster stable and diversified economies in the region. WUPPDR conceptualizes, develops, and implements a wide variety of projects and programs for regional benefit, while providing technical services and a convening role to local units of government and partner organizations.
